Enjoy an evening in the Grand Salon of the Visitor Center. Beth Taylor, Montpelier Director of Education, will discuss recent research on Paul Jennings, James Madison's enslaved manservant and the first White House memoirist. Learn about Jenning's life at Montpelier and his years as a leading member of the black community of northwest Washington. Lecture, 4 p.m. Wine and cheese reception to follow.
