We the People Workshops

The Center for the Constitution is pleased to announce the offering of three We the People workshops scheduled in Virginia for the coming school year. Teachers attending a We the People Workshop will be exposed to the "We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution" curriculum. We the People is designed for use at the upper elementary, middle school, and high school levels.

A Saturday Workshop will be held at the Hilton Springfield which will expose teachers to the We the People program through Middle and High School lesson demonstrations; a content presentation from Professor Jeremy Mayer, George Mason University; and a demonstration of the mock congressional hearing activity.

Space is limited to 30 participants, breakfast and lunch are provided.

Upon completion of the workshop, teachers will receive the following:

• Documentation of attendance for recertification points.
• The ability to obtain a classroom set of 30 student texts and one teacher's guide for the grade level that they teach.
• The ability to access further professional development opportunities through the Center for the Constitution.
