Excavations at Dolley's Midden (located in the gully adjacent to the Montpelier Temple) yielded a massive amount of ceramics and glasswares related to the Madison's dining room table for the Retirement years.  These artifacts gave archaeologists and curators alike an intimate view of the kinds of porcelains, glaswares, cutlery and other items that the Madison's used on a daily basis and for the large parties they hosted during the period from 1817-1836.  This object report details the wide array of artifacts recovered at the site.
