Open house from 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Complimentary tours of James Madison's lifelong home. New furnishings arriving daily add to the presidential splendor.
Your Hosts: James and Dolley
Noon - James and Dolley will arrive at Montpelier at noon by carriage in the Liberty Ride Horse Parade.
For the Kids
10:00 PM – 5:00 PM Colonial Games
1:00 PM – 5:00 PM Project Enlightenment, the historical enlightenment interpretation society, from McLean High School, will mingle with guests.
Hot Air Balloon Rides
4:30 PM Tethered Hot Air Balloon Rides $10/person.
Horse Drawn Carriage Rides
12:30 PM - 3:30 PM Wells Fargo Wagon at the Visitor Center parking area.
10:00 AM - 6:00 PM A 10-minute circuit of the property with Art Magner and his Percheron horses starting at the Temple. $5/adult and $2/child.
7:15 PM - 8:15 PM United States Navy Band Commodores
8:30 PM Festivities will conclude with a fireworks celebration.
Last admission at 7:45.
11:00 AM – 7:00 PM Local Specialty Wine, Beer, and Cider Tastings.
$12 in advance or $20 at the gate (included complimentary Constitution Day admission)
