Daily Tour Options

Montpelier currently offers a one-hour Signature Tour through the beloved home of James and Dolley Madison. Meet the Madisons Tours are available on Friday through Saturday at 10:00 a.m. by reservation only. All of our tours are family-friendly!

Montpelier's grounds are open to the public during regular business hours. Visit the duPont Formal Garden, South Yard slave quarters, cemeteries, forest trails, and more.

Montpelier also offers In-Depth Tours covering the Constitution, slavery at Montpelier, archaeology, the Montpelier landscape, the Civil War, and more. These two-hour tours include visits inside the mansion. 

Tickets for the Daily Tour Options do not require advance reservation and are available for purchase at Montpelier’s Visitor Center.
