The NEH Grant and How We Have Used It
The Montpelier Foundation is hosting a public forum to present upcoming research examining the Overseer's House and James Madison's Home Farm Complex. This ongoing research was recently supported by the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) through a Collaborative Research Grant. In addition to being a public forum, this event will also serve as the public notification of these federal funds, and an opportunity for members of the public to learn more about the proposed research project.
The event will feature presentations by Vice President of Museum Programs Elizabeth Chew, Director of Archaeology and Landscape Restoration Matthew Reeves, Assistant Director for Archaeology Terry Brock, and Curator of Archaeology Collections, Mary Furlong Minkoff. There will be opportunities for stakeholders and audience members to ask questions about the research, and to learn about ways that members of the public can participate in the research itself.
