Kid Free Friday - June 2 - August 25!

Plan a family outing at Montpelier

As you've settled into summer, gather your family and friends and visit Montpelier. Fridays between June 2 and August 25, all kids ages 17 and under visiting with a paying family adult get free admission to the House. The free tours make for an affordable and enriching summer experience available to all visitors. Tours also include entry into our exhibition The Mere Distinction of Colour, located in the cellars and in the South Yard.

Bring your walking shoes and hike our 8+ miles of trails that wind through old-growth forests, horse pastures, and meadows. Stop by the archaeology lab to see and learn about the fascinating artifacts uncovered by our staff and participants in our public archaeology programs. Visit Mr. Madison's Temple, the Madison Family Cemetery, and the Montpelier Burial Ground. At the David M. Rubenstein Visitor Center an assortment of salads, chips, candy, other snacks, and cold drinks are available for purchase. Browse the galleries, and shop in the Museum Shop, which features beautiful hand-crafted, locally-sourced items, children's toys, and an impressive selection of books.

Note: This promotion does not apply to camps, learning centers, or other groups. To book a student/child tour, please contact Emily Stanfill at estanfill@montpelier.org.
