Enjoy a Relaxing Evening at Montpelier

In appreciation of your support, Montpelier members are invited to a special summer evening at Montpelier.

The Montpelier House, The Mere Distinction of Colour, and the South Yard, including Color Through a Child’s Eyes, will be open for you to explore. 

We invite you to bring chairs and blankets to relax on the back lawn while taking in the music of Mercy Trail Music. 

Food and drink will be available for purchase from Happy Place Mobile Pizza, Iron Pipe Aleworks Beer, and wine from Barboursville Vineyards.
Please make sure to bring your ID. 

You may also pack a picnic; however, outside alcohol is prohibited. As much as we love seeing your furry friend, this is a dog-free event. 

In case of bad weather, this event will be held Sunday, July 27, 2025.

RSVPs are required. Please RSVP to members@montpelier.org by July 6th.

Enjoy These Activities

• 4:00-6:00 PM  Tour the Montpelier House – The House will be open for you to walk through at your leisure. Last entry at 6:00pm.
• 4:00-6:00 PM Color Through A Child’s Eyes – Get a preview of the new children’s exhibition, Color Through a Child’s Eyes, in the South Yard. This interactive exhibit has not opened to the public yet, and we would love to get feedback from our members.
• 4:00-6:00 PM The Mere Distinction of Colour – Explore the award-winning exhibition The Mere Distinction of Colour, in the cellar spaces of the main House and the South Yard.
• 4:00-6:30 PM The Annie duPont Formal Garden Take a leisurely stroll through the Annie duPont Formal garden.
• 4:30-6:30 PM Live Music from Mercy Trail Music.  We encourage you to bring chairs and blankets for lounging.

Food and soft drinks will be available from Happy Place Mobile Pizza.
Iron Pipe Aleworks  beer and Barboursville Vineyard wine will also be available.
