Make a Visit to Montpelier Part of Your Weekend Plans!
During the weekend before Veterans Day, Montpelier says "thank you" to all U.S. military service members and their families by offering a free day property pass to the grounds, as well as a free "Highlights of Montpelier" tour to service members. At the David M. Rubenstein Visitor Center, browse our Museum Shop, which offers a wide range of locally-sourced products, jewelry, and books. Veterans will receive a 10 percent discount on any purchase!
Bring your walking shoes and hike Montpelier's 8+ miles of walking trails through horse pastures, wildflower meadows, and old-growth forests. Visit the Annie duPont Formal Garden, Mr. Madison's Temple, and the Madison family and slave cemeteries.
Please note: The Property Pass discount will be applied onsite. Free tours do not extend to service members' families. Montpelier is closed on November 11, Veterans Day.
