Examine Mushrooms, Pollinators, and the Colors of Nature

May 16: Mushrooms - Take a jaunt through the forest to look for a wide array of fungi. We will learn about the life cycle of mushrooms, different habitat requirements, and their role in the food web.

June 13: Pollinators on Parade - Celebrate National Pollinator Week by exploring different habitats looking for pollinators. We will look for bees, butterflies, and birds responsible for pollinating Montpelier's plans; and learn about how plants attract different pollinators, insect and bird adaptations to spread polllen, and the importance of plants and pollinators.

October 17: Colors of Nature - Explore how and why leaves change colors. We will make a collage of different leaf shapes in a rainbow of colors.
