Until her passing in December 2022, Kate Gluckin was one of our most devoted interpreters. As a tribute to her passion for creating hands-on learning experiences for children, we’ve established the Kate Gluckin Fund to collect donations for our student education efforts.

At the heart of Kate’s love of history was a love of teaching. With her deep command of the details of Madison's era, and her ability to interpret its lessons for current and future generations, Kate enriched the visits of guests of every age as they toured our grounds.

A donation in Kate's memory will support Montpelier's development of educational initiatives for children, and help schools cover transportation and operational costs of connecting students with our hands-on, experiential programming.
