Archaeology lab

Research & Collections

The archaeology lab is a hands on space where children can excavate a unit containing historic artifacts and all can explore drawers of artifacts found at various sites across the property.  The archaeology lab is the space where all of our artifacts and samples are processed. Visitors can talk with archaeologists in the lab and learn more about the property and the process of archaeological research.

Children can explore our archaeology unit at the lab (5ft x 5ft--the same size we use in our excavations on the property) to locate artifacts and get a sense of the discovery process.
