Dear Friends of Montpelier,

I feel rather reflective as the country considers our storied past of labor justice and its importance to us this Labor Day weekend. It is in the spirit of gratitude and remembrance that I join you as the President and CEO of James Madison’s Montpelier. Our shared interest in this rich history of the making of America, acknowledging the diversity of people and stories of perseverance and freedom, positions Montpelier as the ideal place to educate and inspire local, national, and global communities today and in the future.

As we embark on this journey together, The Montpelier Foundation, the Montpelier Descendants Committee, our teams, and partners are committed to preserving and promoting our shared history, fostering a deeper understanding of the US Constitution, and exploring innovative ways to engage and captivate audiences of all ages on this unique cultural landscape. With your unwavering support, we are confident that we will continue to chart a course of excellence, united in telling all stories.

Thank you for being a special part of this community. I look forward to sharing more updates with you about Montpelier’s ongoing and future work, all of which cannot be done without your help. Your generosity is greatly appreciated. Here's to a future filled with courage, truth, and a celebration of our collective identity.

With gratitude,
Eola Lewis Dance
President and CEO
