Highlights Tours - 12 person group minimum/24 person group maximum - $30/person
Visitors will explore the lives of James and Dolley Madison, the Enslaved Community, and the U.S. Constitution.  Guests will visit significant outdoor locations located in the historic core of the site, as well as three select rooms in the Madisons' home.

Montpelier Outdoor Walking Tour - 15 person group minimum/45 person group maximum - $25/person
The walking tour of James Madison's Montpelier will take you through the personal and professional life of America's fourth President. You will learn how he lived and entertained with his wife Dolley, and how he came to be known as the "Father of the Constitution." Tours will move through the outdoor historic core of the site and touch on a little bit of everything: Madison the man, The Constitution & Bill of Rights, Slavery - Madison’s worst regret - and Dolley Madison, America's first First Lady.

Live Guided House Tour w/ Q & A - $750 flat rate

Montpelier offers educational programs catering to inquiring minds age 2-18+. We are also excited to welcome class field trips to the estate. Programs are hands-on, interdisciplinary, and complement the Virginia History and Social Science Standards of Learning. All students receive a guided tour of the Madisons' beloved home led by one of our specially trained educators. House tours are tailored to fit any grade-level and cover many historical topics.

All group bookings will be subject to a 50% deposit based on the initial number given at the time of booking and is due one month prior to the tour date. 

You may cancel your tour with a full refund up to one month prior to the date of your reservation.  You may receive an 80% refund for any cancellations up to 48 hours in advance.  No refunds will be made for cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance.
