Montpelier's operations department handles the ongoing needs of the property internally, preparation and execution of on-site events, and management of the Visitor's Center. The goal of the operations department is to keep Montpelier running smoothly and provide guests with a memorable visitation experience.

The Development Department at Montpelier connects members, supporters, and other friends with the different ways of giving and becoming part of the Montpelier family. Marketing and Communications
The department manages the way the public learns about Montpelier’s programs and offerings by operating its digital media channels, leading its advertising and branding initiatives, and handling all media/press inquiries. Center for the Constitution
The Robert H. Smith Center for the Constitution at James Madison's Montpelier offers world-class on-site and Web-enabled educational programming. The Center’s goal is to inspire participation in civic dialogue, improve the public’s understanding of the founding principles of the United States, and enable citizens to deepen their understanding of and participation in our democracy.
