Special Event: Celebrating Lafayette

See history unfold again in a re-creation of General Lafayette’s arrival at Montpelier, on the 200th anniversary of his farewell tour through the United States. Lafayette, traveling in a horse-drawn carriage, will be welcomed by James and Dolley Madison on the front portico at 10:30AM. Free with House tour ticket or property pass.
