This hands-on program begins with tours and excavation support at historic house sites in Virginia’s Middle Peninsula, followed by collaborative masonry repair projects right here at James Madison’s Montpelier—where you’ll help preserve 19th-century structures like the blacksmithing forge and Arlington House chimneys, all under the guidance of expert archaeologists and masons.
