Montpelier hosts the public for 5-day, immersive programs where participants work side-by-side with professional archaeologists to discover and recreate the Madison plantation. Participants live on the historic grounds and experience history on a hands-on basis by digging for artifacts and taking part in recovering President Madison's home with museum professionals.
