
Constitution Day Celebration
Come celebrate Constitution Day at James Madison’s Montpelier, Saturday, September 20, 2025. A festive experience for the whole family, enjoy world class tours, award winning exhibits, activities, as well as conversations with Mr. Madison himself.
10:00am – 3:00pm – House tours with a focus on the unique role Montpelier played in the story of our Constitution. Begins on the portico of the Madison home and last entry at 2:30. Strollers, food, and drink are not permitted in the house.
11:30am – Enslaved Community Tour – Free
2:00pm – Three Friends: Reflections on the Revolution
Mr. Madison (John Douglas Hall), Mr. Jefferson (Bill Barker), and Mr. Monroe (Jay Harrison III) for a moderated conversation reflecting on their shared revolutionary past. Three Friends: Reflections on the Revolution will be a free, public event held in the Grand Salon of the DuPont Gallery at the David M. Rubenstein Visitor Center. Seating is limited, and advanced registration is encouraged.
